FRAMES

The Frame Department is responsible for assembling and building all wood furniture frames to proper specifications. Frame Builders are responsible for the manufacturing of wood furniture frames, ensuring all work is to proper specifications while maintaining production schedules.

Essential Functions:

• Work with pneumatic nail guns, staplers, and other tools as required to build furniture frames
• Ensure proper inventory levels of materials and supplies at all times as necessary to meet production goals
• Maintain 100% efficiency with tasks assigned and ensure production schedule is being met.
• Work closely with all employees within the department and foster a team oriented and goal-oriented environment. Typically, framers work in 2 person teams at each frame table.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and keep the work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Ability to understand directions, specifications, and schematics in English

Preferred Education and Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role and related industry highly preferred

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing industrial setting. The employee may be exposed to both indoors and outdoors. Light to Moderate exposure to sun, dirt, dust, pollen, odors, biological hazards, temperature and noise extremes, hazardous materials and chemicals, machinery, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and electric currents.

While performing the duties of this job: involves frequent standing, frequent walking, light to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), light carrying, frequent bending and reaching, keyboarding, and telephone operation. Specific physical conditions require frequent work with chemicals, tools, machinery, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses, ear plugs, etc. may be required in this area.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position requiring the ability to work long hours as business needs require. Typical shift times are 8 hours per day but may be modified based on production and staffing needs.
