Our Opportunity :

The Chemist Technician I will work closely with the Chemist and Anodization teams to support projects, sample generation to establish visual specifications and customers, and to support manufacturing as needed. The Chemist Technician will be able to operate independently, manage several projects at once, keep accurate records, execute support testing and other development / manufacturing activities. This position requires an individual who works well in a team setting and as an independently motivated contributor to ensure projects / tasks are accomplished with high quality and on time. This position requires good critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

• Works closely with the Chemist and Anodization team to support assigned projects and the sample generation process (for customers and quality).
• Will learn how to maintain the Anodization line for manufacturing and will be the primary backup for dayshift.
• Selecting and setting up the required lab equipment for tests, experiments, sample generation, and analyses.
• Assisting with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results.
• Cultivates and grows technical knowledge to provide technical support to customers and colleagues within sales and other internal departments, recommending appropriate solutions where required.
• Supports continuous improvement projects.
• Assists in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) creation and improvement.
• Ensures adherence to all procedures and processes; especially, compliance with all safety procedures and regulations when handling chemical and hazardous substances.
• Manages and prioritizes projects and plans effectively to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Maintains, cleans, and sterilizes laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Orders and inventories materials to maintain supplies.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to execute physical activities within the lab and production areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch). Ability to lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 pounds.
