Position Summary
Case Manager (CM) will provide integral services to the shelter program clients. These services include but are not limited to; client case management, individual counseling, housing assistance, advocacy, resource navigation, and court accompaniment. In addition, CM will collaboratively work with other case managers and counselor advocates to expand services.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Shelter Supportive Services:
Case Managers typically maintain a client case load of two or more clients and their families at all times and ensure that all contractual funder agreement requirements are met (length of stay, groups, etc.).

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Shelter Supportive Services:
- Case manager will provide culturally inclusive, survivor-driven, trauma informed care services.
- Complete intake and departure forms for all program client participants.
- Provide individual counseling and case management, with flexibility to meet client participants through telehealth and/or in person.
- Create safety plans and exercise a strong knowledge of domestic violence in order to educate participants.
- Work with participants to create housing plans and complete the necessary documentation.
- Develop resources and referrals that are client specific
- Report any child abuse, elder abuse, or dependent adult abuse in accordance with state mandated reporting laws.
- Ensure adherence to HIPPA requirements, privacy laws, and contract compliance specific to domestic violence victims.
- Participates in agency meetings, department meetings, individual and group consultations, and training sessions
- Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned
- Provide over-the-phone crisis intervention and counseling, safety planning, intakes for emergency shelter, and appropriate referrals to community resources.
- Safety planning and brainstorming available options.

Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- One-year experience as case manager and/or working in human services
- 40-hour Domestic Violence Counseling Certificate issued by the State of California or ability to obtain certificate within 60 days of employment.
- Clear state and FBI criminal background check.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. and sort items, and climb stairs
- Experience as case manager and/or working in human services
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Excellent verbal communication and problem solving skills
