What you bring to SBHG (Qualifications):
Education
- Graduation from an accredited school of Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) or Psychiatric Technology (LPT) required.
- Associate degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of nursing experience in the behavioral health field, including at least one (1) year of medication administration experience.
- One (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role preferred.
License & Certification
- Valid California LVN or LPT license.
- Current CPR certification.
How you will make a difference (Job Overview):
The Nursing Department Coordinator oversees and supervises nursing activities performed by all nursing staff during an assigned shift. This role ensures seamless collaboration with other departments within the agency while also providing direct services as needed.
Division/Program Overview:
MHRC is a 16-bed inpatient program providing intensive support and rehabilitative services for adults ages 18-64 with severe mental health challenges requiring state hospital or intensive behavioral health placement. A multidisciplinary team delivers comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health care, helping individuals build skills for self-sufficiency, independence, and improved functioning.
