At Subaru of Glendale, we value our employees as invaluable assets that contribute to our ability to deliver exceptional service and value to our loyal customers.Responsibilities Forecast and strive to achieve goals and objectives for the departments.Hire, train, motivate, and monitor the performance of service and parts department managers.Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service and parts departments.Maintain reporting systems required by general management and the factory.Attend managers meetings.Monitor the performance of the service and parts departments.Promote harmony and teamwork within the departments and across other departments.Understand, stay updated on, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that impact service operations (e.g. hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know).Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.Hold weekly department meetings.Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster repeat and referral business.Promote professional employee development and coordinate with department managers to identify advanced training needs.Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize comebacks. Conduct periodic spot checks to ensure thoroughness and quality of completed jobs.Make customer satisfaction a top priority by ensuring courteous and respectful interactions between service / parts personnel and customers.Handle customer complaints promptly and in accordance with dealership guidelines.Administer warranty claims, review warranty policy adjustments, understand and apply warranty guidelines, ensure accurate processing of claims, and communicate warranty information to customers.Develop pricing plans for dealership service and parts, and provide recommendations to the dealer or general manager.Collaborate with parts and service managers to enhance overall profitability of the dealership.Stay updated on new equipment and tools available in the industry, and recommend purchases.Establish and maintain strong relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities.Act as liaison with factory representatives.Maintain a safe work environment.Maintain a professional appearance.Perform other tasks as assigned.RequirementsMinimum of three years of experience as a Service Manager or Director.GED or equivalent (varies by dealership).Ability to build and expand a service team.Strong leadership skills.Proven track record of providing excellent customer service.Computer skills preferred.Clean driving record.We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination / harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.About the Company : Subaru of Glendale, the premier Subaru dealership in the USA, is committed to providing the highest level of service and value to our community.
