Entry level basic parts experience needed for this position. We will also consider all candidates looking to make a career within the automotive parts industry. We are willing to train the proper individual looking to elevate their career within the automotive parts industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist service technicians, retail, and wholesale customers in a prompt, enthusiastic manner both over the phone and in person
- Read parts catalogs to find correct replacement parts for each individual vehicle and repair
- Prepare parts estimates for service consultants, technicians, retail, and wholesale customers
- Order, pack, ship, receive, and post parts daily
- Assist with parts inventory management through part cycle counting and record keeping
- Occasional pick-up and delivery of parts to wholesale parts customers
- Keep department and work area orderly, neat, and clean
- Maintain a superior level of customer service, quality, provide value and demonstrate integrity
- Assist to resolve customer complaints in a prompt and efficient manner
- Complete all required training courses to be a Subaru certified parts specialist
- Other duties as directed by management may be assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Parts counter entry level sales experience preferred
- Must be able to work on a flexible schedule that will include rotating Saturdays
- Must be a customer-oriented, initiative-taking team player
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work hard with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Computer & Phone Skills are necessary (Internet, Microsoft Office, Email)
- Professional appearance and work ethic is crucial
- Initiative-taking, goal oriented, and ability to work within a team environment
- Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
