Position Overview 

The Solution Architect is responsible for providing daily support for the Deltek Enterprise Suite, including Costpoint, Time & Expense, and Cognos systems/applications and will have responsibility for the Oracle Financial Applications Integration points and beyond. This position entails ongoing maintenance and enhancement of our core project accounting and financial accounting platforms with a strong command of IT skills, practical business & functional expertise in Professional Services Automation, and an understanding of financial application architecture for Oracle and Costpoint. Partner with various departments across the organization to enhance and improve our End-to-End solution which includes Costpoint, Oracle and Microsoft. Provide daily guidance and support to operational and functional teams, and lead in future improvements and integration projects. Act as a liaison between IT and Vendor development groups and Business Units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of current systems. Due to the nature of work performed, U.S. citizenship is required and ability to obtain / maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day system management and support of Oracle Financials integration points, Costpoint, Time & Expense and Reporting systems including troubleshooting issues, supporting end users and reporting on KPI’s to our Business and Management teams.
  • Responsible for maintaining our contracts, budgets and relationships with the vendors, Costpoint, Deltek and Oracle.
  • Responsible for championing and supporting integration and business process connections between Oracle EBS, Costpoint, Time & Expense (T&E), supporting systems/tools, integrations and driving innovation across the segment.
  • Responsible for managing projects to drive continuous improvements throughout the solution.
  • Act as a business analyst in understanding and translating business requirements and suggesting solutions which will leverage standard out of the box capabilities of Costpoint or Oracle vs custom developed solutions.
  • Manage user setup, security, and other configuration for Oracle where required, Deltek and Cognos systems/applications.
  • Technical lead for Costpoint upgrades and issue resolution. Submit Oracle or Deltek support tickets and collaborate with Oracle or Deltek representatives to identify and implement appropriate bug fixes, patches, and software updates.
  • Manage change control and issue resolution processes, formal release schedules, and release management.
  • Support internal control efforts in conjunction with ITGC compliance program.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with Business Systems team members and customers across the enterprise inclusive of senior leadership.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical results/scenarios in a clear and concise fashion.

Qualifications


Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in business management software and applications with progressive technical support experience including system planning, design, audits, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Functional experience configuring Oracle EBS, Costpoint Core modules, including Time & Expense.
  • BI Report writing experience with Deltek Cognos Reports; capable of writing new or editing existing reports using Cognos Analytics 10 or 11 with the Deltek CER framework or other reporting applications such as Snowflake, Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills with strong problem-solving capabilities, particularly bridging IT and Accounting.
  • Exceptional project management skills with ability to effectively collaborate with all levels within the organization.

Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance. On-call availability outside of normal working hours.
