Position Overview
- Work with Operations and Process Engineering to assist with line trials, prove-ins, materials evaluations in support of the Loose Tube line relocations and upgrades in FY 2024
- Work with Operations, Process Engineering and Process Engineering Technicians to support ongoing CI projects throughout Power Conductor.
- Reports to: Joe Schultz
- Execution of CI and Optimization activities in a timely manner supporting Productivity Improvement actions.
Responsibilities
- Essential Functions: Assist the Process Engineers and Technicians on Loose Tube and Power Conductor with line trials, materials evaluations, equipment evaluations and qualification work. Competency in MS Office Suite, in particular MS Excel
- Nonessential Functions: ability to analyze data and draw reasonable conclusions to enable recommendations, some CAD could be beneficial, ability to perform all physical requirements of SubCom employees

- Minimum Qualifications: Should be going into (min) Junior Year of BS program in Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Engineering at an ABET Accredited Institution for their chosen Major.
- Success Factors: Self-starter, motivated and willing to learn and be mentored, willing to get their hands dirty
