Central Dauphin SD is in need of a Special Education Supervisor. This position will involve attending IEP meetings, assist case managers with paperwork, student concerns, working alongside principals regarding special education programs with in their buildings. This position will start ASAP and go until the end of the school year.

_ The pay rate for this position will be $320.00 a day._

Summary

As a Special Education Coordinator at Substitute Teacher Service, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing educational programs tailored to meet the needs of students with special requirements. Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee special education programs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Monitor student progress and adjust educational strategies as needed to ensure effective learning outcomes.
• Provide training and resources for educators on best practices in special education.
• Facilitate communication between families and schools regarding student needs and progress.
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to special education services.
• Advocate for the rights of students with disabilities within the educational system.

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development for special education.
• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and literacy education strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, parents, and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Experience in tutoring or direct instruction is a plus.
