Teacher's Aide

Substitute Teacher Service Inc. is seeking qualified paraprofessionals to work as Building Aide's within the Spring-Ford Area School District. This position is guaranteed work Monday-Friday, but you must commit to 3-4 days per week, specifically Monday's and Friday's. The rate of pay is $19 per hour. The minimum education requirement is a high school diploma.

Qualifications and Required Documents

• Proof of a high school diploma or higher education
• A Pennsylvania Criminal Records check (Act 34) that is clean and less than 5 years old **
• A Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151) that is clean and less than 5 years old **
• A FBI Criminal History Record that is clean and less than 5 years old ** We recommend that you use our web links posted on our website https://www.thesubservice.com/additional-resources** Please note: clearances cannot be older than 5 years however, some districts may require new clearances that are less than 1 year old!
• Proof of a TB test or chest x-ray that is less than 3 months
• 3 professional references (contact information) and/or letters
• A Resume
• Routing number and account number for direct deposit setup
• 2 Valid forms of Identification for I-9

Summary

We are seeking a Teacher's Aides to join our team at Substitute Teacher Service. This role is essential in supporting classroom activities and enhancing the educational experience for students. The Teacher's Aide will work closely with teachers to facilitate learning and provide assistance in a variety of classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities.
• Support students in their learning processes by providing individualized attention.
• Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment.
• Supervise students during classroom activities and transitions.
• Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and educational programs.
• Communicate effectively with teachers regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students and staff.
• Ability to assist in lesson planning and classroom management.
• Knowledge of literacy education practices is preferred.
• Basic understanding of math concepts is beneficial.
