The Business Analyst plays a critical role in analyzing business processes, sales and Marketing data, as well as operational workflows to support data-driven decision-making that will result in bigger deals and higher sales revenue. The Analyst will need to be a highly motivated self-starter with an analytical mind and strong business acumen. Critical thinking skills and attention to detail are essential, they also like to learn how things work and want to make them better. This role is not only tactical and responsible for developing reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics to optimize efficiency, revenue growth, and scalability, but is also strategic and looks at how things connect in the long term and how making changes now can affect the organization's long-term goals. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, sales, and leadership to drive business improvements and strategic initiatives but will not be guided by anyone in the organization, instead, you will have the autonomy to create your projects and try different working models/processes that can lead the organization to reach its goals succinctly and consistently. The Analyst will also be responsible for building efficient and effective CRM and reporting capabilities. You’ll support the strategy and delivery of numerous initiatives & partnerships focused on driving growth for our flagship enzyme-based product, Perma-Zyme.

Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Reporting: highly analytical skill set to interpret and analyze extensive data collected over several data points for sales, marketing, and operations. This role involves developing insightful reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making. You will identify patterns, correlations, and trends, providing leadership with actionable insights for both short- and long-term strategic planning. The objective is to proactively detect and address potential inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks, ensuring sustainable and continuous organizational growth.
- CRM & Systems Management: Maintain reporting systems, track key metrics, and recommend system improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Business Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in business operations to enhance performance and reduce costs. Conduct market research and assess business performance metrics.
- Forecasting & Strategy: Support forecasting in sales, marketing, and operations with the goal of improved strategic planning through data-driven insights.
- KPI Development & Monitoring: Track and analyze key operational and financial metrics to inform business decisions and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Will work closely with teams in finance, operations, marketing, sales, and leadership to support business growth and process enhancements.
- Project Management: Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed and provide analytical support. Serves as a project manager on various reporting initiatives and provides reporting to senior leadership for strategic decision-making
- Training & Communication: Present findings and train employees, including senior leadership, on new reports, dashboards, and insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field, Master’s degree a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business process analysis, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry
- A self-directed mindset combined with good judgment to be able to comfortably, and regularly, shift from strategic work, at a high level of altitude for some initiatives, to deeper dive tactical content solutions on some projects
- Proficiency with CRM systems, HubSpot, is a plus
- Proficiency in process mapping and analysis tools such as Visio and Lucidchart, data analysis software such as Google Sheets and Tableau, and project management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions
- Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to work with large quantities of detailed information with a high level of accuracy
