Full Time 40 hours, $20.80 - $21.64 an hour
The manager is responsible for day-to-day operations. Key areas of responsibility include scheduling and training of direct support staff; physical plant, finances, monitoring and implementation of Life plans.
Provides supervision to the Residence Supervisor and direct support staff. Receives supervision from the Residential Team Leader within the assigned team; and Residential Director.
1. Provides direct supervision, to assigned supervisors and staff. May be responsible for employee evaluations.
2. Participates in staffing activities to include hiring, scheduling and training of staff. Ensures training is current, and new employees complete site orientation.
3. Reviews site documentation within specified time frames (i.e. communication logs, incidents, illness / injury, vehicle checklists, maintenance and purchase requests) to insure timely follow up.
4. Ensures assessments for individuals are completed and revised as significant changes occur.
5. Responsible for staff implementation and documentation of the activities within the Life Plan.
6. Generates the staff action plan / monthly summary / semiannual summary. Make recommendations for revisions.
7. Ensures documentation is thorough, accurate, contemporaneous; and in compliance with billing standards. Completes attendance / billing records for timely submission.
8. Responsible for monitoring and implementation of the individual plan of protective oversight.
9. Responsible for the security of personal allowance funds and documentation of related transactions. Ensures availability of funds for residents in a timely manner. Monitors for the completion of a personal inventory.
10. Facilitates staff meetings; records and maintains minutes.
11. Responsible for ensuring that equipment, supplies and furnishings within the home is appropriate according to the needs of the residents. Completes purchase requests and makes purchases timely.
12. Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the home and outside area. Ensures work orders are submitted with timely resolution.
- Any identified health or safety issues will be addressed immediately.
13. Records and dispenses medications in accordance with medication administration procedures.
14. Reviews medical appointment records, physician’s notes and orders and completes any necessary medical follow up.
15. Schedules and maintains fire drill records for the assigned site. Ensures staff review of fire evacuation plan, Site Plan of Protection, and Individual Safeguards every other month or as changes occur.
16. Responsible for the coordination of menu planning, shopping, inventory and purchase of food.
17. Reviews monthly recreation calendar and community activity plans. Schedules supports for activities accordingly. Encourages and supports residents to express their opinions, suggestions for improvement via a monthly meeting.
18. Participates in quality surveys and activities as scheduled.
19. Maintains regular and positive communication with individuals served and stakeholders.
20. Completes other duties as assigned.
Associates Degree in Human Services-related field OR
High School Diploma / GED PLUS (1 1 / 2) years’ human service experience with one (1) year experience being in the residential setting.
Prior experience in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
Valid NYS driver’s license with acceptable driving record that meets Agency criteria is required.
