Postion Overview:
The Hyatt Place Virginia Beach Oceanfront is looking for public attendents/houseman. Applicants need to be positive, energetic and willing to do whatever it takes to make our guests happy. Potential houseman will need to be attentive to details and understand how this role impacts the overall success of the hotel. Ideal applicants will have great attendance and understand why hotel cleanliness is so important. Responsibilities also include working with operations staff to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will maintain cleanliness of hotel while keeping all areas free of safety hazards while performing tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Be in proper uniform, clean and presses, with nametag. Must wear socks and dark, non-slip, closed toe, flat shoes.
- Complete daily report as instructed by supervisor.
- Clean stairwell daily.
- Stock linen room with supplies.
- Empty linen from housekeeping carts.
- Sweep and mop areas in front of elevators; clean all trash cans, clean ashtrays, and clean elevator track.
- Maintain pool areas. Clean pool windows and bathroom daily.
- Clean ice and soda machines on all floors.
- Dust light fixtures in hallways.
- Remove all dirty linen from laundry chutes.
- Remove all dirty linen from hallways.
- Pick up trash from all floors after the room attendants finish for the day.
- Turn in lost and found items immediately to the supervisor.
- Provide assistance to co-workers and guests as needed.
- Report all guest accidents and employee injuries to a supervisor immediately.
- Notify supervisor of any guests? complaints or comments.
- Acknowledge and greet guest immediately when passing in the hall and elevator.
- Perform other necessary duties upon request or management.
- Must be aware and practice all emergency and safety procedures.
