Lincoln Elementary School is looking for an energetic individual to help teach and coach fifth grade boys' basketball.
Job Description
Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the skills of students on the boys' basketball competition team through practice and games throughout the season (September thru March); maintaining communication with student participants and parents as necessary. Perform additional related duties within the scope of work as assigned by the District Athletic Director, Principal, or Superintendent.
Reuirements
Maximum Coaches : 1 / grade level team
Minimum Meeting Responsibilities : 2x / week (November thru March)
Minimum Student Participation : 5 students
There needs to be two practices per week prior to the regular game schedule and the distirct tournament
Plan, develop, implement skills of students; reinforce through practices and games
Conducts After School practices- teaching fundamentals and teamwork
Coaching the games at the GWMS held on Saturdays.
Being an appropriate role-model, conducting him / herself professionally.
Teaching the students about teamwork, dedication and giving their best.
- An additional coach may be added as approved by the Superintendent.
Any changes to staffing of the following programs will be at the principal's discretion and approved by the superintendent. Student attendance needs to be taken and submitted to the principal after each meeting. If a student misses three consecutive sessions, sponsor must contact parents and notify principal. For all extra duty assignments where supervisors are with students after regular school hours, supervisors are expected to be with students until all students have gotten on their buses or have been picked up. A plan should be in place at all buildings to plan for the possibility of parents or buses being late.
