REPORTS TO: Director of Technology
SUPERVISES: None
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent oral and written communication skills using the English language.
Advanced knowledge in the operations of computers, printers, and peripherals.
Ability to analyze and resolve hardware and software problems.
Minimum of three years experience with computer networking and troubleshooting computers.
Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with people.
Experience with configuration, installation, deployment, and maintenance of computing devices using a variety of operating systems including Windows, Mac OS X, and iOS.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Apps for Education.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Technology related field
- Participation in continuous professional growth (e.g. workshops, in-services and available course work)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following essential functions satisfactorily:
- Maintain online work request system and complete technology related work requests in a timely manner and document resolution.
- Maintains, troubleshoot, upgrades, repairs and deploys educational technology hardware (PCs, tablets, iPads, projectors, scanners, document cameras, etc.).
- Manage student and staff devices including creation of individual user accounts, installation of apps, and utilization device management programs.
- Order parts and return malfunctioning technology equipment as needed.
- Create software images; installs and removes software as directed.
- Assists with maintaining the District network.
- Sustains online inventory systems of all technology equipment.
- Relocate and install technology equipment as needed throughout the District.
- Assist with the monitoring and reporting of District print services.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Collaborate with the District’s technology staff to promote fidelity with the media and technology programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods of time
- Moderate to extensive degree of physical and emotional stamina
- Possible exposure to bodily fluids due to student injury and illnesses
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve-month work year.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually
