The Role
We're seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our automation division and lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge automated solutions. This is an opportunity to work with advanced technologies while making a real impact on industrial processes across multiple industries.
What You'll Do
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
- Maintain files of working documentation as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, websites, price lists, etc.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and visits sites of proposed projects; take accurate notes such as ceiling height, level of difficulty, distances and overall conditions which affect installation and bid take-off.
- Work consistently within estimating process; calendar invite, bid checklist, pre-bid meeting, estimate production, proposal methodology, bid review, delivery, and Client Resource Management tracking.
- Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed, and calm manner.
