Suburban Enterprises is looking for a dynamic Business Development Representative to join our team and take charge of expanding our Technology Services and Low Voltage solutions in the Appleton area!
As a Technology Business Development Representative at Suburban Enterprises, Inc., you will be instrumental in driving our growth strategy across four key divisions. Your role will be to identify, engage, and nurture new business opportunities for each of these sectors, contributing to the overall success of our diverse portfolio of services. You’ll be an ambassador for Suburban Enterprises, helping us connect the right solutions with the right clients.
What You'll Do
- Prospect and Identify New Business Opportunities: Actively seek out new potential clients in the Appleton area and surrounding regions within the technology services and low-voltage industries.
- Build Relationships: Establish trust-based relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to position Suburban Enterprises as their go-to solution provider.
- Present Solutions: Conduct product and service presentations, highlighting the benefits of our innovative low-voltage systems, smart solutions, and technology-driven services.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with our engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and customer satisfaction.
- Achieve Sales Goals: Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through proactive outreach and strategic relationship building.
- Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Keep up to date with the latest in low-voltage technology and trends to better address client needs and remain competitive in the market.
What You Bring (Required Experience)
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 2 - 5 years of selling experience in Technology system sales.
- Proven track record of developing new customers, new markets, and/or selling new services while consistently reaching or surpassing sales targets/quotas.
- Experience managing sales processes via a CRM with an emphasis on building the sales pipeline.
- Curiosity & Drive: You’re naturally curious and always asking, “What’s next?” You thrive on connecting with new people and creating opportunities.
- A Hunter’s Mindset: You don’t wait for business to come to you – you go after it, with a blend of creativity and persistence.

- Communication Skills: You’re a master of both written and verbal communication – you know how to craft the perfect email and speak persuasively to potential clients.
- Problem Solver: You enjoy finding creative solutions and have a keen ability to understand customer challenges and recommend the best solutions.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with technology service products and services, particularly in the low-voltage sector, will be a huge asset.
- Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Keep up to date with the latest in low-voltage technology and trends to better address client needs and remain competitive in the market.
