What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Technician I position at Suburban Hospital?
The Clinical Technician/PCT will work in the Surgical Unit. We care for patients who have undergone hip and knee replacement, laminectomies, trauma, and various other surgical patients. We have earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of approval for its Joint Center.
The CT/PCT performs routine and specialized tasks in providing direct patient care under the functional direction of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with patient care, such as personal hygiene, special skin care, ambulation, transfer and treatment procedures, including enemas, ostomy care, oral suctioning, catheterization, bed making, and sterile dressings.
- Observes and monitors vital signs.
- Observes, monitors, reports and documents patient’s condition, symptoms, and reports to nurse as appropriate.
- As a team member, contributes to the daily patient care activities.
- Collects specimens and assists nursing staff with proper requisitioning.
- Assists in ambulation and range of motion.
- Performs minor housekeeping tasks to keep patient areas clean.
- Runs errands, procures equipment and sets up equipment.
Hours:
- Full Time, 36hrs per week
- Days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Licensure/Experience:
- CPR certification
- Maryland CNA licensure a must
- Prior patient care experience preferred
Salary : $41,700 - $52,800
