Construction Team Member:
As a construction team member responsible for performing construction tasks including rough carpentry, window and door installation, caulking, backing installation and basic construction clean up.
Essential Functions
Minimum Knowledge: Requires ability to interpret / extract information and / perform arithmetic functions. Requires typing, record keeping, word processing, and excellent communication skills.
Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma or equivalent related experience
License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: This position requires a valid driver’s license, signed nondisclosure and confidentiality agreement, and passed background check. *Equipment Operator permit is a plus.
Safety: Responsible for adhering to all safety policies and procedures of Suburban Inns. Position will require attendance at meetings on construction sites that may require the employee to climb ladders, cross rough terrain, and be exposed to noise and dust.
Required Travel: Position does involve travel to other Suburban Inns properties and off site meetings
Uniform and Appearance Guidelines
Uniform: Construction attire, closed-steel toed shoes, hard hat, safety green colored shirt
Appearance: All facial piercings must be approved by management. Hair must be kept well-groomed. All tattoos that are not covered by a work uniform must be approved in writing by management. Any tattoo that is deemed offensive to co-workers, guests, vendors or others in the workplace based on racial, sexual, religious, ethnic, or other characteristics or attributes of a sensitive or legally protected nature are not permitted and must remain covered or concealed at all times. This policy will be administered by the position’s supervisor, without regard to race, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, height, weight, genetics, familial status, veteran status, and other protected characteristics. The CEO has the authority to veto any decision made by the position’s supervisor.

- Starting wage: $20/hour

Essential Functions
- Report to work in professionally appropriate attire, presented neat and clean
- Understand the different divisions of construction
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Read and analyze blue prints
- Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws
- Mix mortar, plaster, and grout, manually or using machines, according to standard formulas
- Erect scaffolding or other installation structures
- Cut materials to specified sizes for installation, using power saws or tile cutters
- Modify material moving, mixing, grouting, grinding, polishing, or cleaning procedures, according to installation or material requirements
- Move or position materials such as marble slabs, using cranes, hoists, or dollies
- Assist the property development team throughout the construction phase of projects to assist in any manner needed
- Undertake special projects requested by the Executive Officers
- Exhibit regular and recurrent attendance records
- Follow all Suburban Inns processes
