What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader position at Suburban Lawn and Garden?

Suburban Lawn and Garden offers a full service experience for our customers. From purchasing plant material in one of our 3 retail stores to our Full Service Maintenance departments. Suburban offers our customers, lawn maintenance, sprinkler and landscaping services.
Do you love to garden? Do you have extensive knowledge in gardening practice? If you love being outside, this is a great job opportunity. Our crews maintain commercial and residential properties. Basic skills for gardeners include regular mowing, mulching, brush, leaf and weed removal, trimming and pruning. No experience necessary. Paid training is available.
Candidates must be able to:
- Complete general landscape duties, including mowing, edging, installation of mulch, weed, trim, plant, aerate, and other related landscape activities.
- Work in the outdoors, occasionally exposed to extreme heat and cold
- Perform physical labor daily
- Operate various equipment and tools, such as mowers, power trimmers, blowers, and weed eaters.
We are seeking:
- Gardening, horticulture experience
- Ability to plant flowers/shrubs, pull weeds and deadhead flowers
- Knowledge to prune/trim flowers and shrubs in different seasons.
- Trade certifications such as Certified Landscape Technician, Certified Chemical Applicator License are a plus but not required.
- Valid Kansas or Missouri (Class E) Drivers license.
- Must be able to pass a DOT medical certification.
