What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Sales Associate/Cashier position at Suburban Lawn and Garden?
We are currently hiring for our stores located in Overland Park, Lenexa, KS and South Kansas City, as well as our service divisions and production facilities.
What You Will Do
Suburban works to provide outstanding customer service and product knowledge while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need. As a Seasonal Employee, this means:
- Being friendly and professional, and responding quickly to customer and associate needs.
- Ensuring merchandise is stocked and presented appropriately for customers.
- Engaging in safe work practices and encouraging others to do the same.
All employees support our mission by providing excellent customer service through greeting customers, responding to customer inquiries, and assisting them in locating, selecting, loading merchandise and processing sales and returns. This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you may be asked to help with other duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Hourly Seasonal: Generally scheduled 25 to 40 hours; more hours may be required based on the needs of the store.
- Flexible availability is preferred. Number of hours each week is dependent on availability of the associate and the needs of the business. Seasonal staff can work until mid-November.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Minimally must be able to lift 10 pounds without assistance; may lift over 10 pounds with or without assistance.
