What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Suburban Manufacturing, LLC?
Essential Responsibilities:
- Shipping
- Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
- Schedule outbound freight deliveries with carriers & SMG truck route.
- Handle a wide variety of paperwork including purchase orders, return authorizations, delivery notes, driver return sheets, Will Calls, BOL’s, and other shipping papers.
- Provide information to Customer Service Representatives when requested.
- Ensure orders are shipped on time to arrive by the customer’s requested delivery date.
- Material Handling and Receiving
- Locate material and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders and jobs (all production kitting initiatives).
- Unload and receive all incoming materials from incoming truck transports.
- Document materials and supplies issued by recording units delivered and location of units.
- Maintain material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock.
- Maintain organization of warehouse and storage locations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by assisting with daily cycle counts.
- Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Update documentation, including electronic systems, with accurate, real-time, appropriate information according to established practices and procedures.
- Represent the company in a professional manner with both internal and external customers.
- Participate in all appropriate meetings in-person, on-site, or remote, as defined.
- Routinely share feedback, solutions, and ideas, including identification of training needs.
- Execute job responsibilities in accordance with established procedures, policies, and practices as trained.
- All other duties as assigned by manager and lead.
