Medical Assistant, Orthopedic clinic

Suburban Orthopaedics is a busy practice seeking a full-time Medical Assistant-Certified or Registered. Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Patient intake by verifying patient information by interviewing patient and recording medical history.
• Ensures rooming of patients in a timely matter in order to maintain clinic flow for physicians and physician assistants
• Obtain imaging reports, diagnostics, surgical photos, etc. needed for visit.
• Removal of sutures and staples
• Applying/Removing cast and providing instructions to patients regarding care of casts, splints, and etc.
• Assist with Durable Medical Equipment fitting/dispensing
• Basic post op-wound care
• Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
• Collect and prepare Plasma-rich plasma specimens for providers
• Assisting with in-office procedures
• Prepare injections for providers
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required
• Other duties as assigned

Medical assistants will also be given office hours to help completion of work status notes, disability forms, insurance forms, etc in a timely manner, Triaging/answering messages in the doctor pools,

Requirements: thorough knowledge of EMR, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, willingness to work in a team, high level of customer service skills and versed in medical terminology. Experience in an orthopedic practice is a plus but not needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
