Suburban Testing Labs - STL has been successfully operating since 1963. Our stable, expanding company seeks candidates for our Field Services Associate position. In this role you'll have the opportunity to continuously improve your skills and take on new responsibilities to advance to multiple technician levels.
ROUTE: This job involves driving locally to various business locations in a company provided vehicle to transport and collect water samples that are used by our clients to support environmental compliance and decision making.
TYPE OF VEHICLE PROVIDED: Regular size van or truck provided by our company.

A company vehicle is provided and ALL costs for this vehicle, including maintenance, insurance and GAS, are paid by STL. Key Job Duties
- Transport samples safely and in a timely manner over your assigned route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
- Gather and prepare equipment, supplies and documentation prior to the start of your daily schedule.
- Demonstrate and promote professional practices including personal safety and safety of others while in the field.
- Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of procedures and equipment.
- Perform collection of water samples at client sites in accordance with established procedures and timeframes.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure deadlines are met in an efficient manner.
- Represent our company in the field and with clients in a positive professional manner.
- Monitor basic maintenance on vehicles & perform basic, routine quality assurance checks on equipment and instrumentation.
Skills & Capabilities Needed
- Ability to navigate, drive and safely arrive at client sites
- Enjoys driving for a large portion of the workday
- Ability to complete assigned activities in an efficient manner, multitask and support others
- Enjoys working in a team environment, and can function well independently
- Good interpersonal skills
- Hard working and able to demonstrate enthusiasm for delivering great customer service
- Basic technology skills (Microsoft Office, iOS, email, and other software)
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and personal vehicle insurance: NOTE our company provides insurance for company vehicles.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work outside of scheduled hours as required to meet client / workload needs.
- Prolonged periods sitting in vehicle for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to and including 50 lbs.
- Position requires frequent standing, , kneeling, and sitting, each work day
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather
- Must be able to travel locally frequently
- Must be able to safely drive a company vehicle frequently during each work shift, including driving in inclement weather.
