We seek an experienced Lab Analyst or Chemist to perform lab analyses on water and soil samples. Our Lab Analysts and Chemists do important work that provides high quality, defensible data for our clients. In this role you’ll use state-of-the-art equipment & instruments to generate analytical data supporting environmental compliance and decision making.

Requirements

What Will You Be Doing?

• Generate analytical data to support environmental compliance and decision making
• Perform analyses following SOPs based on approved analytical methods using a variety of analytical techniques, equipment and instrumentation
• Utilize technical knowledge to apply problem solving skills in a focused area of the lab and execute analyses consistently across a range of analytical techniques
• Identify and help implement procedural opportunities for time savings
• Support and participate in quality events such as audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology or related area; OR equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of hands-on, laboratory analysis job experience outside of academia.
• Starting pay is dependent on experience level.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds periodically during each work shift.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 10 pounds constantly.
• Engage in the following movements: Balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking, grasping, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.
• The incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines.
• The incumbent is potentially subject to conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: odors, gases, poor ventilation.
