Job Summary
STL is growing and we’re looking for a Pool Technician for a seasonal opportunity in Reading, PA. The Pool Technician collects and transports pool samples that are used to support environmental compliance. The position is responsible for collecting samples based on regulatory and customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Relocation:
This position is not eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements
This position requires local travel on a day to day basis. This position provides the employee with a company vehicle that includes company paid gasoline and auto insurance.
Work Schedule
This is a temporary position that will work 8 hours Monday-Friday in STL’s Reading, PA location. The typical start time for this position is between 9 am – 11 am EST. This position is subject to overtime and weekend availability to meet deadlines.

The position is responsible for collecting samples based on regulatory and customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintenance of workflow management including, but not limited to:
- Gather and Prepare equipment, supplies and documentation prior to start of schedule
- Adhere to all timelines in daily schedule
- Enter required information into routing software using mobile device
- Perform activities at client site in accordance with established procedures and timeframes
- Complete all required documentation
- Coordinate with team members to ensure all deadlines are met in an efficient manner
- Interact and communicate with clients and co-workers in a professional, effective manner
- Investigate and resolve basic on-site issues;
- Maintain clean, organized work vehicle, workspaces, and equipment;
- Maintain inventory of supplies relevant to assigned sample collections;
- Develop and maintain basic knowledge and understanding of the following:
- Sample Receiving and sample storage systems
- Sample container protocols
- Analysis holding time and preservation requirements
- Other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required;
- Must be able to be fully insurable under company's auto insurance policy;
- Ability to safely drive company vehicle frequently during each work shift, including driving in inclement weather conditions;
- Proficiency in Mobile technology (Microsoft Office, iOS, email, and other software);
- Ability to work outside of scheduled hours as required to meet client/workload needs;
- Must be comfortable working in inclement weather conditions;
- Ability to execute assigned activities in an efficient manner, multitask and support others;
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as function independently;
- Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality;
- Strong work ethic and ability to demonstrate excitement and enthusiasm around exceeding goals and delivering great customer service;
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds.
