Job Summary :
STL is growing and we're looking for a Sample Coordinator in Reading, PA. The Sample Coordinator maintains control of sample containers from receipt to disposal. The position is responsible for ensuring that sample containers are stored in appropriate locations, readily available for analysis, and disposed at the proper time.
Job Responsibilities :
- Relocate samples from coolers to sample tables;
- Organize samples by group according to their associated work order;
- Perform pH and preservation checks on appropriate bottles and document results on chain of custody form;
- Clean coolers as needed;
- Move samples onto associated carts for distribution as needed;
- Distribute short hold samples to laboratory;
- Ensure adequate storage areas are available in each sample storage area;
- Scan all samples into their locations;
- Pull samples from storage and scan into batches for analysis;
- Return samples to storage locations after analysis is complete;
- Dispose of samples properly after retention time has passed;
- Document all sample storage temperatures;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Relocation :
This position is not eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements :
This position does not require any travel.
Work Schedule :
This position will work 8 hours Monday-Friday in STL's Reading, PA location. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines.
