Food Service Clerk

Purpose:

The Branded Food Service Clerk plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the quality of food products. The position involves greeting guests, preparing orders, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and handling light paperwork.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Customer Interaction: Greet guests with a cheerful and helpful manner, prepare their orders accurately, and ensure they have a positive experience.

3. Point of Sale Operations: Use the Point of Sale system to record orders, compute bills, collect payment, and make change.
4. Cash Handling: Perform Cash-In Procedure, accounting for all forms of money, product, etc., during shifts.
5. Food Preparation: Prepare food neatly according to formula and in a timely manner.
6. Inventory Management: Check products in storage units and restock items to maintain sufficient supplies throughout shifts.
7. Food Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards during food preparation, service, and clean up.
8. Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain all restaurant areas to promote a clean image and adhere to approved cleaning methods.
9. Quality Standards: Understand and adhere to all quality standards, formulas, and procedures outlined in the branded franchise operations manual.
10. Appearance and Grooming: Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards as outlined in the manual.
11. Light Paperwork: Complete assigned paperwork duties.
12. Training: Complete company and branded franchise training courses as directed.

• Strength: Required for lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Standing: 95% of time.
• Walking: 25% of time.
• Sitting: 5% of time.
• Lifting: Up to 25 lbs.
• Carrying: Up to 25 lbs.
• Pushing/Pulling: Up to 25 lbs.
• Climbing/Balancing: Requires climbing ladder and balancing.
• Bending/Stooping/Kneeling/Crawling: Required for reaching, handling, speaking, hearing, seeing, depth perception, and color vision.

Reporting Relationship: The Branded Food Service Clerk reports directly to the Branded Foodservice Manager.
