Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu standards.
- Ensure all food handling and preparation meets safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering any questions about menu items.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to minimize waste while maximizing quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools is a plus.
- Experience with Aloha POS or similar systems is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be a team player with good communication skills.
