Sandwich Artist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Artist to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and an eagerness to provide exceptional service to our customers. As a Sandwich Artist, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious sandwiches while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble a variety of sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Ensure all food preparation areas are sanitized and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen area, including cleaning workstations and equipment.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for order processing and customer transactions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Maintain inventory levels by assisting with stock rotation and notifying management of low supplies.
• Provide support in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the café area.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation or a culinary setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation practices and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with retail math for accurate order processing is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
