Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced BCBA to join our team on a contract basis to conduct initial assessments for individuals receiving behavioral therapy services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, and collaborating with other team members. This is a flexible, part-time role requiring availability for a couple of days per month, based on client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments for new clients referred to the facility.
- Collect and analyze data to assess the client’s behavioral needs, preferences, and goals.
- Develop comprehensive behavioral assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) when needed.
- Write detailed reports outlining assessment results, recommendations, and next steps for treatment.
- Collaborate with facility staff, parents, and other professionals to discuss assessment results and treatment recommendations.
- Provide guidance and support for implementing behavior interventions as outlined in the assessment.
- Ensure that all assessments comply with ethical and legal standards.
- Provide periodic updates to facility management regarding the progress of assessments and any adjustments needed.
Qualifications:
- Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.
- Experience in conducting initial assessments and creating behavior intervention plans.
- Knowledge of various assessment tools and methods, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting preferred.
