Success Academy Charter Schools has been providing exceptional public education for over 20,000 K-12 students in New York City since 2006. The network consists of over 50 free public charter schools that offer growth opportunities within the network, including leadership roles. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Classroom Teacher role located in the New York City Metropolitan Area at Success Academy Charter Schools. As a Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for lesson planning, education, communication, teaching, and training students on a day-to-day basis.
These roles all include full time salary and benefits, time off during school breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer), extensive professional development, and opportunities to advance quickly in the schools and at our network office! We do also pay a relocation bonus if you are moving from 50 miles away!
For the teaching roles, we provide training for all incoming teachers and do not require teaching certifications. We place a higher focus on candidates grit, presence, and foundational knowledge than classic teaching training. We also pay for elementary school teachers Master’s degrees in education.
The interview process is completely virtual, consisting of 3 parts: webinar attendance, live zoom interview with a recruiter and then a live zoom interview with a manager. Your interviewer will ask you which subject, grade level and location you’re most interested in teaching or what operations role you are interested in. They will try to place you within your preferences! We also pay a relocation $2500 bonus for moving from over 50 miles away..
We have teaching roles in History, English, STEM, Art, Biology, Theater, Chess and General Ed in all grade levels and more.
Salary: Salary: starting ranges start at $55,000K
This is a 12-month salary, which means you will receive your paycheck even when classes are out of session for Summer, Winter, Spring break - for all roles!
Hours: Depend on the school. School operation hours are 7:00am to 4:00/5:00pm. Monday through Friday. On-site 5 days a week. Our schools are located in 4 out of the 5 boroughs: Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx.
