Science Teacher Opportunity at Success Academy
We are looking for a skilled Elementary School Science Teacher to join our team at Success Academy. As a member of our network, you will have the opportunity to teach and prepare children from low-income neighborhoods to be self-assured thinkers and leaders, capable of exploring and debating sophisticated ideas.
Our Science program is designed to develop scholars as citizens of science, empowering them to see engineering, physics, mathematics, chemistry, and biology as all interdependent. We also place a strong emphasis on scientific literacy, with special attention to reading, writing, and data literacy.
Your Role
You will be responsible for teaching a classroom of 20 students, using our proven curriculum and approach to ignite a passion for scientific thinking and curiosity in your students.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. biology, chemistry, physics, engineering)
Ability to work in person in New York City (relocation stipend available)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Passion for teaching and learning
