Job Description
The High School Teacher will play a pivotal role in providing a rigorous education to students in grades 9-12. This includes planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and developing strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and Success Academy's curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree before your first day of work with Success Academy
- A rigorous and relevant academic major (e.g., biology, history, chemistry, economics, physics, English, mathematics, engineering)
- Ability to work in person in New York City (relocation stipend available for qualified candidates)
- Supervise a classroom of 20 students
