Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate science teacher to join our team of professionals dedicated to teaching and preparing students for academic success and leadership. As a science teacher at Success Academy, you will develop scientific literacy and critical thinking skills in our scholars, preparing them for college and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging science curriculum for elementary school students
- Assess and analyze student progress, using data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of education at our schools
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in STEM education
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. biology, chemistry, physics, engineering)
- Ability to work in person in New York City (relocation stipend available for qualified candidates)
- Passion for content area and commitment to staying current on best practices in STEM education
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and priorities
