The New Jersey Courts, Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action (EEO/AA) Unit seeks a motivated and organized professional to assist with the implementation of the Judiciary’s EEO/AA Master Plan. The individual will work closely with the Chief Judiciary EEO/AA Officer and the team to manage workflow, information and data related to EEO complaints, recruitments and other compliance areas.

The successful candidate must have the ability to embrace teamwork and work independently in a fast-paced environment. The individual should be detail oriented, highly organized, and possess exceptional writing skills. This individual should exhibit professionalism in communicating with members of the public and staff from the vicinages and the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) regarding confidential matters.

Remote Work: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Example of Duties

* Evaluate initial complaint information to determine whether the matter invokes the EEO/AA Policy Statement, explain processes, and make referrals to another office or entity when appropriate.

* Update matters in the case management system; advise management on the status of EEO matters, including the case’s assignment, stage, and estimated timeframe for completion.

* Notify parties of the case's status and issue determination responses.

* Evaluate and update EEO/AA systems, workflow, and processes; communicate with end-users and external vendors regarding systems.

* Liaison with Judiciary offices and vendors to obtain relevant information and data for EEO/AA compliance areas; ensure that information and data is obtained in a timely manner to meet reporting deadlines; establish methods to validate that the information and data retrieved from various systems is accurate.

* Prepare EEO/AA statistical reports and visualizations and analyze data; create end-user guides and templates; present information to varied audiences.

* Assist management with EEO/AA compliance review of stages of recruitments.

* Maintain current standard operating procedures for the EEO Analyst function.

Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.

Salary range is $57,644.00 - $88,820.70. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range.

Job Requirements: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of professional experience in program development, program coordination, program analysis, program administration and/or administrative research.

Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An Associate's degree and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree may be substituted for one year of experience. A law degree may be substituted for two years of experience.

Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.

Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.

Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
