Associate Director of Academic Operations

POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Director of Academic Operations is responsible for the strategic direction, academic integrity, and standardized implementation of all curricula for Success Education College's programs. The Associate Director of Academic Operations is responsible for the design and revision of programs, assessing student outcomes, maintaining academic compliance, and ensuring students are provided quality academic programs and support services that will enable them to successfully prepare for productive careers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design curricula and measure student outcomes.
• Communicates with institutional and programmatic accrediting bodies to ensure that all standards are being met. Coordinates preparation of accreditation reports.
• Creates policies and procedures to support consistent implementation of all academic programs for all campus locations. Reviews proposals for and makes recommendations for changes to academic policies.
• Monitors quality of course delivery in all programs and courses.
• Provides recommendations for program offerings at all campus locations.
• Reviews feasibility studies to assess new program opportunities; recommends program mixes for existing campuses and new campuses.
• Participates in academic committees to ensure that appropriate goals and projects are implemented.
• Ensures faculty development including enhancing educational competencies.
• Ensures faculty is involved in planning, implementing and evaluating the curricula.
• Communicates regularly with the Corporate Director of Academic Operations to ensure that curricula are being taught appropriately and academic policies are being followed.
• Represents the SEC to national, state and local professional groups and/or organizations, professional accrediting organizations, and the community at large.
• Directs the implementation of the Student Learning Outcome Assessment program.
• Serves as a professional role model for faculty, campus deans and Program Directors.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Knowledgeable and up-to-date with current regulations in the areas of academics, admissions, career services, financial aid and accreditation, compliance.
• Possess the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
• Expertise in accreditation, academic assessment and curriculum development.
• Experience with web-based education programs, and curriculum design desirable.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence others through leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and the public.
• Possesses strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, high degree of professionalism and ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Demonstrated computer literacy skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare, education or related field required
• Minimum years’ experience in education with demonstrated success as faculty and in academic management positions with at least five years in higher education administration.
