About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead and coordinate all maintenance operations in our fast-paced frozen food manufacturing facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our production equipment, utility systems, and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial maintenance, a strong leadership background, and a passion for optimizing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the scheduling, repair, and maintenance of all machinery, tools, and equipment to support uninterrupted production.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
Supervise maintenance personnel and contractors responsible for building and grounds upkeep, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Manage utility systems, ensuring the continuous supply of essential resources such as heat, steam, electricity, gas, and air.
Analyze production, quality control, and maintenance reports to optimize operations and reduce costs.
Identify and implement innovative maintenance strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational expenses.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and other safety and environmental standards.
Oversee procurement and inventory management of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance skills, safety awareness, and adherence to company policies.
Collaborate with management, engineering, and quality control teams to address maintenance challenges and enhance production processes.
Prepare and manage department budgets, monitoring expenditures to align with financial goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a mid-to-large-scale manufacturing environment.
Strong proficiency in MS Office applications and computerized maintenance systems.
Extensive knowledge of Anhydrous Ammonia refrigeration systems and Process Safety Management (PSM).
Hands-on experience with PLC and Controls troubleshooting, OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and predictive maintenance.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive efficiency improvements.
Desirable:
Ammonia certification and PSM certification.
Experience in wastewater procedures and project management.
