Summary
We are seeking a Billing and Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team at Success On The Spectrum. This role is essential in managing billing processes and ensuring accurate medical coding for our services. Located in the United States, this position plays a crucial part in supporting our mission to provide exceptional care and resources for children with Autism.
Responsibilities
- Manage billing processes for services provided to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform medical coding using ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards for all therapy sessions.
- Handle medical collections effectively, following up on outstanding accounts.
- Refile denied claims and reconciliation
- Insurance verification
- Management of authorizations sent/received from insurance companies
- Maintain organized medical records and documentation related to billing.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure proper coding of services rendered.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
- Assist Office Manager and/or CEO with additional duties when needed
Preference:
- Proven experience in medical billing and collections, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in ABA clinic or working with children with autism.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
