What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Director - Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position at Success On The Spectrum?
Success On The Spectrum (SOS), a national ABA franchise, opened its first Connecticut location in Shelton in May 2024; We are opening a second CT location in Norwalk in March 2025 and are looking for a Clinical Director (BCBA) to join our team!
Compensation is $95-100k/year salary, excluding bonus and benefits. Bonus and benefits include:
- Annual discretionary bonus upon satisfactory review
- 80 hours of PTO accrued annually: 10 days off for vacation and 10 days off for holidays. Additional PTO following Year 1 will be included in an Offer Letter
- 40 hours of Sick Pay accrued annually
- Medical (health, dental, and vision) reimbursement of up to $300 monthly in lieu of company-provided medical insurance
- 401(k), matching up to 4% following six (6) months of employment
- Company-sponsored monthly CEUs, BLS/CPR certification & QBS Safety-Care certification
- One paid week of corporate virtual training at the outset of employment
- Additional in-person training at the outset of employment provided at our Shelton, CT office
- Performance Review every six (6) months
This position is a 40 hour/week job with great work/life balance, increasing compensation over time, and increasing PTO in Years 2-5.
The model combines the most effective methods of ABA science, a fun environment, community outings, safety, and a high degree of parent involvement to children who have ASD. Our goal is to teach valuable life skills that help our clients become productive and fulfilled adults, ultimately improving their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities include:
- Flexibility to take on additional tasks/responsibilities as needed
- Work In Center: Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm. Includes a daily 60-minute lunch break taken at your discretion.
- Up to once per week, supervise in-home clients; Monday-Thursday, 4:30pm - 6:30pm. Your center-based hours will be adjusted to account for any in-home work.
- Conduct Assessments
- Create Individualized, research-based client programs
- Analyze client progress and update programs as needed
- Weekly parent training meetings and progress updates
- Supervise Behavior Technicians (BTs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Trainer(s), Intern(s), and BCBA(s) in-center and in-home
- Weekly staff meetings, monthly companywide meetings, and quarterly “in-service” trainings
- Safety Management
- Attend monthly group & individual training with our franchisor
- Co-Lead monthly staff meetings with CEO
- Lead biweekly group BCBA meetings and biweekly one-on-one BCBA meetings
- Conduct monthly staff check-ins and session note checks
- Conduct 6-month performance reviews for all staff
- Oversee and write staff disciplinary reports
Qualifications:
- BCBA Certification & CT licensure
- Five (5) years of experience as a BCBA, of which three (3) in a supervisory role preferred
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis or other relevant degree with a specialization in ABA
- In-network with CT Medicaid/Husky preferred
- Experience supervising paraprofessionals/BTs/RBTs implementing ABA based treatment programs
- Experience working in-center and developing ABA programs preferred
- Experience working with children aged 2-10 preferred
- Experience conducting family trainings on ABA-based treatment plans preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills & administrative skills
SOS-Shelton is growing quickly and we expect SOS-Norwalk to do the same. The Clinical Director should expect increased administrative responsibilities and a lighter direct caseload, over time.
