What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver/Direct Support Professional *URGENT HIRE position at Success Rehabilitation, Inc.?
The driver will serve as a part-time Direct Support Professional and will:
- Provide transportation in company vehicles and accompany clients to medical appointments, personal and group recreational activities, shopping including transfers in and out of the vehicle and working with wheelchairs
- Assist clients with toileting and with other activities of daily living, such as showering/bathing, toileting, dressing, personal hygiene/grooming
- Assist with medication administration after successful completion of Department of Human Services mandated training
- Complete required documentation
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
- Proof of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years old
- Human Services/Direct care experience as an employee, volunteer or for a family member.
- Experience driving individuals with special needs a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Physical requirements – position requires walking, standing, stooping, sitting, kneeling, bending, pushing and pulling. Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.
The desirable applicant will also be flexible, able to work as part of a team, reliable and committed to working with individuals with disabilities.
Must have reliable transportation to work – no public transportation is available.
Job Type: Full-time (Every other Saturday)
