Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to patients, managing appointments, handling calls, and maintaining accurate patient information. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish, possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, and demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and update patient demographic information to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Screen patients for program eligibility and collect the necessary documentation.
  • Schedule patient appointments based on medical need, following established guidelines.
  • Conduct appointment reminder calls, reschedule appointments, and coordinate lab result follow-ups.
  • Respond to general inquiries, providing accurate information and directing patients as needed.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet patient needs.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Attend workshops, training sessions, and meetings as requested.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor to support clinic operations.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three months of medical office or customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Bilingual in Spanish (required).
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of medical office experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Experience working in community or public health environments.
  • Familiarity with medical practice management software.
