Job Description
Coastal Practice Area Leader responsibilities include :
Oversee the execution of projects in the coastal practice area including scheduling, establishing fees, negotiating contracts, billing, collecting, etc.
Lead business development activities for the coastal practice area identifying, developing, maintaining, leveraging and managing client relationships. Facilitate expanded coastal practice area exposure, develop and implement market strategies that align with the firm's overall business strategy and branding.
Provide input to the Office Leader relative to culture, vision, mission, values, objectives, and strategies relating to the coastal practice area.
Provide input to Office Leader and Water Market Group Leader on practice area performance goals and objectives (i.e., revenue growth, client satisfaction, quality, profitability, net revenue, net multiplier, chargeability, business development costs and other operational goals.)
Maintain continuous client relations and secure projects in the coastal practice area.
Work with the coastal experts across GRAEF offices in project oversight, including setting priorities and developing objectives, and project financial management as well as the ability to serve as a technical resource for a multi-disciplinary team.
Project engineering and management; client management, making fluent presentations and conducting client development activities.
Prepare contracts and technical documents.
Professional society involvement and attendance at professional conferences and summits.
Technical leadership of design of coastal projects in the Florida region.
We are considering Coastal Practice Area Leaders who meet the following basic qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of (10) years of completing design calculations for coastal engineering projects such as drainage and flood control, geotechnical / foundation designs, sewage pump stations, rock walls, seagrass, beach nourishment, coastal storm impact analyses, and coastal structures.
Project Management experience.
U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
Strong coastal engineering technical skills in coastal and hydraulic processes.
Proven track record in business development and project development processes, including marketing activities, conference participation, client development, project tracking and proposal development.
Design experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D considered a plus.
