Position Overview :
The Deputy Executive Director serves as a key leadership role within our organization, responsible for driving the fundraising strategy and initiatives essential to advancing our mission. This position requires a dynamic and creative individual with a passion for making a difference and the ability to inspire others to join our cause. The Deputy Executive Director will oversee implementation, management, and execution of all fundraising, events, and community relations efforts.
Key Responsibilities :
Fundraising Strategy and Planning : Develop and implement fundraising strategies, including major gifts and donor cultivation. Create annual development plans, establish a monthly donor program, identify new funding opportunities, and launch events to raise awareness and funding. Lead by example in fundraising efforts.Donor Cultivation and Stewardship : Manage donor and prospect portfolios, fostering relationships and building strategic partnerships. Maintain strong connections with donors through personalized communication, meetings, and events. Develop strategies to engage donors at all giving levels and ensure timely stewardship.Special Events and Campaigns : Maximize participation and fundraising through events and community engagement. Expand the reach of major fundraising events like The Brighter Days Golf Classic and introduce creative ideas to enhance community support.Marketing and Communication : Develop compelling materials and messaging to support fundraising efforts. Leverage social media, email campaigns, and direct mail to engage donors and raise awareness. Communicate the impact of programs effectively.Budgeting and Financial Management : Assist in creating annual budgets and monitor fundraising-related revenue and expenses. Provide regular updates to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.Recognition and Reporting : Ensure proper recognition of donor contributions and maintain knowledge of donation tax laws. Prepare reports and presentations for the Board of Directors regarding development activities and progress.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience with a proven track record in individual giving and major gifts.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate staff, volunteers, and donors.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholders and build relationships.Outgoing personality with a passion for the mission of The Faris Foundation.Ability to work in a dynamic and creative environment while supporting other organizational programming efforts.Willing to work with team for collective success vs. in silo.Be ready and willing to “roll your sleeves up” with the team to achieve our common vision.Strategic thinker with a growth mindset, able to develop and execute fundraising plans aligned with organizational goals.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Passion for the mission and the ability to be bold, original, and transformative.A creative and out of box thinker that likes to challenge the status quo.A person who has a heart of GOLD and understand the mission deeply and is invigorated by serving others.A leader who can multitask and join in as a true team member.Benefits :
