We are looking for an experienced General Manager who is passionate about growing a business and leading a dynamic team. This hands-on role will oversee all operations at our Bend location. In this role, you’ll be the hands-on leader, responsible for managing daily tasks while nurturing a dedicated and hardworking team. You lead by example and have a passion for people. You’ll build strong relationships with both our staff and customers, and you’ll focus on coaching and developing each team member to perform at their best.
As a General Manager, you’ll embrace new challenges with an open mind and an enthusiasm for continuous improvement. You’ll take ownership of ensuring that the business consistently delivers excellent results, whether that means managing our unlimited membership program, tracking key metrics, or finding ways to optimize the customer experience. You are mechanically-inclined, ready to handle the maintenance and upkeep of our site. From ensuring all equipment is running smoothly to maintaining a spotless environment, your attention to detail will help drive operational excellence. You won’t shy away from getting involved in the day-to-day, working alongside your team to tackle any issues that come up. Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and grow an effective team - You will be responsible for the ongoing development of the team, including recruiting and hiring. You will train new hires and constantly identify ways to “level up” each team member by providing additional training and tools to help them perform at their best.
  • Drive growth in unlimited memberships - You will drive the growth and retention of our unlimited membership program, developing strategies to motivate your team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Own performance metrics - You will be responsible for tracking key performance metrics via dashboards and charts. You’ll prepare updates to review with ownership.
  • Partner with ownership - You will work alongside the owner in executing various ideas and projects that are aimed at improving our services and the customer experience.
  • Manage administrative work - You will complete all scheduling, company reports, deposits, etc..
  • Keep a spotless facility - You will obsess over keeping all aspects of our site clean - from the tunnel to the vacuum areas. Our site is a reflection of the quality of service that we provide and you take pride in keeping it well maintained.
  • Maintain site equipment - You will complete all preventative maintenance checks and upkeep on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Equipment can make or break the business and you take extreme ownership of ensuring everything is kept up to our standards.
  • Be a steward of safety - You have zero tolerance for an unsafe work environment. You prioritize the safety of our team and customers above all else.
  • Engage the community - You’ll actively engage with the community, identifying opportunities for partnerships and local fundraising initiatives that align with our brand values.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Customer obsessed - You have a passion for people and strive to build genuine relationships with customers. You go out of your way to ensure that each customer has a positive experience and we brighten their day.
  • Lead by example - You are able to demonstrate proper procedure and excellence by demonstrating it on a daily basis. You are willing to get in the trenches with the team (literally) and work alongside them. No task is beneath you.
  • Transparent communicator and open to feedback - You do not shy away from providing and receiving constructive feedback. You don’t take feedback personally but instead use feedback as an opportunity to grow.
  • Flexible with new processes and change - You embrace change and testing new ways of working.
  • Mechanically-minded - You have prior experience with either car wash equipment or other machinery and enjoy working with your hands.
  • Expert multi-tasker - You are able to manage multiple projects and tasks at a single time, while keeping things organized and delivering on-time results.
  • Highly organized - You hate to see things messy and disorganized. Whether it’s paperwork in your office or spare parts in the back room, you keep a clean and organized space at all times.
  • Flexible schedule - You are able to work various shifts including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays. You're always ready to hustle!
  • Tech-savvy - You have experience with Microsoft Office and are very comfortable with iPhone and iPad applications. Learning new technology comes naturally to you.
  • Always learning - You are humble and recognize that you don’t know everything. You are always looking for ways to improve as a leader and operator.
  • Physical environment - You are able to stand for extended periods, complete repetitive motions, and lift heavy items.
Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years managing a team.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with mechanical equipment of some kind, ideally car wash equipment.
  • Technical or college degree preferred but not required.
