Job Summary
We are looking for a professional, reliable, and service-oriented Concierge to assist residents and visitors in a residential or commercial building in Philadelphia. This role serves as the first point of contact, ensuring an exceptional experience, handling requests, and maintaining building security.
The ideal candidate must be available for rotating shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Work Schedule
- 8-hour shifts distributed as follows:
- Morning shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Afternoon/evening shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Night shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- Each employee will have two days off per week based on the shift rotation.
- Shifts may include weekends and holidays as per the assigned schedule.
ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service and Assistance
- Greet and assist residents, visitors, and vendors professionally and courteously.
- Handle information requests, resolve concerns, and provide personalized assistance.
- Coordinate and manage deliveries, reservations, and additional resident services.
- Facilitate communication between residents and other departments (maintenance, cleaning, administration).
Security and Monitoring
- Control building access, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
- Monitor security cameras and report any suspicious activity.
- Handle emergencies according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with security staff to ensure resident safety.
Administrative and Organizational Duties
- Maintain detailed records of visitors, deliveries, and service requests.
- Prepare daily reports on events, incidents, and relevant activities during shifts.
- Answer phone calls and emails efficiently.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a concierge, receptionist, customer service representative, or security personnel, preferably in residential or commercial buildings.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of security systems and access control.
- Proficiency in basic computer tools (email, management software, security systems).
- Intermediate or advanced English proficiency, depending on the building's profile.
- Ability to remain alert and proactive during night shifts.
