What are the responsibilities and job description for the Illinois State Sales Manager position at Suerte Tequila?
Summary: Mid-level sales management position in which State Manager will be tasked with achieving annual off- & on-premise sales and distribution goals. This position is responsible for development of the Suerte Tequila and RTD business through achievement of new account sales, management of existing chain and independent accounts/sales, distributor management and attainment of KPI’s.
New Account Sales
- Primary responsibility of position is to utilize market data tools to create target lists for new off and on-premise account placements, focusing on High Volume account opportunities.
- Ensure proper placement/pricing on shelf, using POS when/where applicable.
- Achievement of floor and endcap displays.
- Secure drink features, premium wells, menu placements and on-premise promotions
Existing Account Sales
- Establish a rapport with key off and on-premise account buyers and managers.
- Increase Suerte Tequila expressions and sizes in accounts.
- Scheduling staff trainings, hand-sell opportunities and tasting events.
- Increase Suerte Brand awareness with floor stacks, signage, POS, ad mentions, etc.
- Increase on premise volume through added cocktail placements and features.
Distributor Management
- Builds true partnerships with distributor sales reps/mgrs by adding value through the contributions of people, sales systems, brands, brand support tools, and a generally good-natured way of doing business. Become recognized as one of the distributor’s best supplier reps. And if it isn’t fun, it isn’t right!
- Define target lists for each distributor sales rep territory and work in tandem with distributor reps to achieve all off and on-premise goals.
- Help increase sales and expand brand line at existing retail accounts.
- Works with key salespeople and key distributor managers a minimum of once a week.
- Communication with reps to help them achieve monthly goals.
Qualifications: Rising star in off/on premise beverage alcohol sales. Have solid background in selling skills, account management and presentation skills. Possess a good understanding of off and on-premise sales, distributor ways of workings, brand building and capability to identify and execute on market trends. Requires basic computer competency in Word, Excel, Power Point and e-mail. Must be eager to learn, grow and have fun!
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
