The Role
Change Manager / MOP Coordinator to oversee and coordinate construction activities within the Red Zone and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) areas of our data center builds. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all construction and maintenance activities are planned, communicated, and executed in alignment with operational requirements, safety protocols, and security restrictions specific to SCIF environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center construction, change management, and method of procedures (MOP) coordination, with a particular focus on projects occurring in high-security, mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and coordinate Method of Procedure (MOP) plans to ensure minimal impact on active operations within Red Zone and SCIF areas.- Manage the change control process, ensuring that all modifications, maintenance, and construction activities are properly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with security teams to ensure all activities within SCIF areas comply with necessary protocols and classified information protection standards.
- Ensure all changes adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements for secure environments.
- Construction Coordination:
- Serve as the primary liaison between construction teams, operations teams, and security personnel to schedule and oversee construction activities within Red Zone and SCIF areas.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure that all work is performed with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Ensure that all personnel entering Red Zone and SCIF areas follow appropriate security clearance procedures and are briefed on operational protocols.
- Operational Integrity:
- Monitor construction and maintenance activities to ensure that they do not interfere with the data center’s operational integrity, security, or uptime requirements.
- Provide real-time oversight and reporting during critical change windows to mitigate risk to operations.
- Risk Management:
- Proactively identify potential risks associated with construction and maintenance activities in Red Zone and SCIF areas.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruptions and maintain security standards.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including project managers, operations teams, security teams, and external contractors.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, change requests, and risk mitigation measures to leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in change management, construction coordination, or project management in data center environments.
- Experience working in high-security environments such as SCIFs or Red Zones is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Method of Procedure (MOP) development.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory and security requirements specific to SCIF areas.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in dynamic, fast-paced environments while maintaining focus on operational continuity and security compliance.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with construction safety protocols and industry best practices.
