Role Overview: Our Personal Banker I - Interactive Teller will deliver exceptional service by assisting members through ITMs, secure messages, and ticklers, addressing their financial needs and supporting their goals while contributing to the Contact Center's digital banking efforts. Ensure compliance with regulations, foster referral opportunities across various banking channels, and act as a professional and courteous advocate for members, all while supporting the overall growth and success of the Credit Union.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to all current and prospective members, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Exhibit knowledge of Credit Union products and services, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and member acquisition.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, and check verifications, while maintaining confidentiality.
- Perform routine teller tasks such as managing cash drawers, reconciling balances, and handling cash and coin requests.
- Handle account maintenance, including updates to personal information, signers, beneficiaries, and stop payment requests.
- Assist with Debit/ATM card servicing, wire transfers, and checkbook orders.
- Support member onboarding activities, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Provide digital and online banking support to members, ensuring seamless access to services.
- Assist the Contact Center with inbound calls during high volume periods.
- Participate in community events, Call Nights, and business development efforts to support Credit Union growth.
Essential Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalency certification. One (1) year of customer service/teller experience is required, preferably in a Financial Services.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be empathetic and build rapport.
- Ability to express oneself clearly and articulately both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated skill in customer service and communication.
- Ability to exercise tact and responsibility with handling confidential information.
- Ability to work with direct supervision of daily activities.
- Demonstrates ability to achieve individual goals as well as support the team achieve branch goals.
- Intermediate mathematical skills required.
- Knowledge of credit union loan policies as well the following regulations: Truth in Lending, HMDA, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Uniform Commercial Code, HUD, RESPA, Fair Housing Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as well as lending related laws and other NCUA regulations
- Knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, regulations, and procedures
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to communicate effectively through speaking and hearing, with visual acuity for reporting and presenting information.
- Interact on video calls through the ITM (Interactive Teller Machines).

Compensation for employees is generally offered within the range of the minimum to midpoint of the posted salary scale, based on qualifications, internal pay equity, and the budget for the position. This compensation range adheres to state-specific regulations. The determination of your actual pay rate may take into consideration factors such as your skills, years of experience, and other pertinent qualifications.
