School Bus Charter Driver
Job description
Suffolk Transportation Service, Inc., has School Bus Charter Driver positions available for applicants who possess a clean, Commercial Driver’s License, class B with S, [School] and P [Passenger] endorsements. A Charter Driver is responsible for transporting authorized passengers to and from field trips, sporting events and more in a safe and timely manner with directions provided. Shifts operate on weekdays; weekends are not required.
Qualifications
- This position requires proper CDL (CDL Class B with P and S endorsements).
- State school bus certifications including adhering to state and federal guidelines regarding criminal, medical, drug test and driving records
- Willing to drive to a variety of locations
- Need to be flexible with last-minute changes
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
